There is no requirement for you to place a GSM sim card inside the device, everything has been taken care off.
Your GoTEK7 will arrive with 100 free positions and 25 sms credits. Positions are used when your device sends a position to your control panel. An SMS credit is used when you receive a low battery alert or a power down/up message. You also have the freedom to inform your device to report every X seconds. This means your device will only send a position whilst in motion.
The GoTEK7 also allows you to call the device from your mobile phone and it will return the full address details including a WAP link so you may view your device via a small map on your screen. Customers find this solution very handy when they have no internet access.
